I had the fortunate experience of attending Arizona State University in Phoenix. I knew I was interested in design, and ASU solidified my love of the discipline. Their bachelor program was a classical design program focusing on principles over technology. Tools are important, but were secondary to design foundations. I developed a love for simplicity, consistency, good typography, and a careful use of space.
During my junior and senior years I had the opportunity to participate in a cross disciplinary program called InnovationSpace. This is where I first caught a glimpse of the power of a collaborative team. Partnered with three other disciplines (industrial design, engineering, and business), we worked to develop a sustainable product idea from nothing to ready for the market.
Work
Here is a small selection of images of my work over four years. You’ll see the mix of hand-painted colour-theory photos mixed with final photos from our senior show.
